From the m<strong>oment we met</strong>, we knew we were forever. Whatever life brought, we would face it<strong> together</strong>—with Christ at the center of our lives. Nearly <strong>13 years </strong>later, we are still weathering life together. But this season of growing our family has been one filled with deep pain, tears, and moments that have tested our hearts in ways we never imagined. Just when we felt there was no light left in our tunnel, God showed us otherwise. In the spring of 2020, we met <strong>our miracle—our wuma</strong> (a term I coined from Womb Mother) Through her incredible gift, our daughter Hadassah was born safely in South Carolina. She is the miracle we waited <strong>10½ years</strong> for and a balm during seasons of profound loss! We have cherished<strong> every moment</strong> of our life with her, and are full of <strong>love</strong>, <strong>gratefulness</strong>, and <strong>hope</strong> that our family will continue to grow!</p> </div> </div>

<h2>WHAT LED US TO SURROGACY</h2><p>In 2016 we began IVF. Two cycles produced<strong> four embryos</strong>, but complications prevented fresh transfers. In 2017 we tried our first frozen transfer—<strong>it failed</strong>. Exhausted physically and emotionally, we took a break. In 2018 we tried again. That time, the<strong> miracle</strong> happened—we were pregnant. At six weeks we saw our baby’s heartbeat flicker on the screen. We believed our prayers had been answered. Two days later, we learned our <strong>son was gone</strong>. We had already dreamed of him—of his smile being just like his father’s. We named him Gaius, which means to <strong>rejoice</strong>. The following year was filled with<strong> grief</strong>, but also <strong>growth</strong>. When we prepared to try again in 2019, we received more devastating news: my endometriosis had progressed into the muscle of my uterus—stage IV adenomyosis. Doctors told us the chances of carrying a pregnancy were <strong>slim to none</strong> and warned that if the disease continued progressing, I might need a hysterectomy within two years.</p><p>After so many years of IVF, surgeries, loss, and miracles, we are now hoping to find another wuma—a woman willing to partner with us in love and generosity. <strong>Though my womb is broken, our hope is not</strong></p> </div>

<h2>FAMILY TRADITIONS AND VALUES</h2><p>WWe are Nigerian, so our<strong> food culture</strong> is important. <strong>Family</strong> and <strong>faith </strong>are integral to our family. Our way of dressing (ankara, aso oke). Even things like, we don’t have a baby shower, we have a <strong>naming ceremony</strong>. All Nigerian names have <strong>meaning</strong>, they are selected as a prayer or answer to prayer. My name, Adaeze, means first daughter of the King. Tari, means first blessing. Hadassah means compassion and also Esther 4:14. The naming ceremony is <strong>sacred</strong> and happens 7-21 days after the birth of the baby.</p><h2>WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A MATCH</h2><p>We want a <strong>close relationship</strong> with our wuma.
