Adam & Walker
OUR STORY
We started dating in college at the University of Georgia and have been a unit ever since. We both remember the first time we met- my friend and I drove down to the mall and met Adam in the food court and I can still picture his cheeky grin and finger wave as he approached us. Thirteen years later, we are still the same best friends we started out as and we both feel so lucky to have found each other and to build a life together. Our relationship is so special we seem like two opposites who attracted, but at our cores we share many of the same values and priorities in life. We see in each other the traits we’d like to see more of in ourselves, and have helped each other grow in ways we’d always hoped to. While Walker has never known a stranger, Adam is happy to keep his circle small and meaningful. He’s had the same amazing group of friends since middle school and they gladly accepted me from the moment we started dating. While Walker would rather laze around touring gardens or sunbathing on a beach all day, Adam wants to see sights, hear stories, and traverse trails only locals know about. We are always keeping each other on our toes and wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re very lucky to have engaging careers in commercial real estate and consulting that keep us challenged and rewarded. Our work life balance is something we cherish and nurture and while we know a good job makes life easier, it will never be prioritized over our personal lives.
OUR INTERESTS:
Life outside of work keeps Adam and Walker busy yet connected. Walker loves spending time in his garden, what he likes to call ‘playing in the dirt.’ He cannot wait for the day he will get to share his joy with their children. Walker is also the cook of the house and he’s been doing an incredible job keeping their kitchen full of wonderful meals.
Adam, on the other hand is a bit of a renaissance man. If something is challenging or interesting, he’s all hands on deck. He loves a good game of chess and is currently learning to play the banjo and their very own handyman which paved the way for their adventure of learning how to sail by getting his 101 and 103 certificates. They take a boat on Lake Lanier at least once a month. It has become one of their favorite ways to spend time relaxing together out on the water. Aside from those beautiful perks, because of Adam’s great attention to detail they have been able to see some really special parts of the world together. Traveling has always been a very meaningful way for them to bond and they can’t wait to share that with their children.
OUR HOPES AND DREAMS FOR OUR FUTURE CHILD:
More than anything, we aim to let our child know that in every moment of their life, they are deeply loved and endlessly supported free to learn and be who they are at the pace they need. Adam and I dream of raising someone who is kind, engaging, empathetic, funny, adventurous, and who understands the importance of family, the golden rule, and an appreciation for life, this earth, and all their collective wonders.
When it comes to the home we aspire to create and cultivate. We want our home to be safe, fun, full of joy and laughter but also a place to relax and unwind and feel entirely seen and understood. We want to foster an environment where creativity and inquiry are encouraged and appreciated, where mistakes are just that and where our child can feel entirely supported as they grow into the person they want to be.
FAMILY TRADITIONS AND VALUES
Thanksgiving with Walker’s family is a very special day that includes sports, oysters, two different turkeys and the best stuffing and skillet corn you’ll ever have. It has become our most cherished family tradition mostly for the great company but the food doesn’t hurt either! Christmas is of course very special and we have never missed celebrating with both sides since we started sharing Christmases together. We have had the pleasure of hosting Adam’s family twice now and we got to introduce pommander making to our niece which has now become a very fun way to bond and share gifts.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A MATCH
Adam and I hope to build a genuine, supportive, and meaningful connection with our surrogate one grounded in mutual respect, open communication, and shared excitement for this journey. We’d love to stay in regular contact through texts/calls and updates throughout the pregnancy, and visit in person for milestones and check-ins as it makes sense, so we can be present and express our gratitude firsthand. Our hope is that the relationship doesn’t end at birth. We would be honored to keep our surrogate informed as our child grows, so they can always know the beautiful role they played in our family’s story.
