OUR STORY:

When Bri and I first met it was during a cold winter blizzard in Buffalo (go figure!). Through conversation we instantly knew we had so much in common and were a great pair. Julie being a teacher and Bri a nurse we both shared a common desire to serve our community. As time followed and discussions progressed, one very important thing was clear, we both wanted a family (children)! Upon getting married, we decided to start our IVF journey. We went through a very challenging 3 years where we completed various cycles and multiple failed transfers. After surgeries, testing and evaluations we both were coming across infertility issues such as RIF, PCOS and endometriosis. The turning point in our journey was when our physician suggested looking into other avenues such surrogacy/gestational carrying. We know we are not ready to give up! Determined to bring our little one into the world, we are extremely hopeful that we can do just that with the help of a selfless individual. We are grateful for the opportunity to journey through surrogacy with someone who can help us bring our biggest dream of motherhood to fruition.

OUR INTERESTS:
In our spare time, Julie & I volunteer for a non-profit called Buffalo Cares where we foster dogs that come from a tough situation and are in need of a home. We are both active individuals that enjoy running, kayaking, riding our bikes and going for long walks. Julie is very creative. Some of her favorite things to do artistically are pottery and painting. Julie also invented a large hopping game called jWAY for kids that she is very passionate about and works on on the side. Brianna loves a good puzzle, book or spending time running around with her nieces and nephews. We also both love a good house project and seeing it come to fruition from start to finish. Our ideal night is spending quality time with friends and family.

WHAT LED US TO SURROGACY:
We began our IVF journey fall of 2021 and since then have unfortunately had 4 failed transfers of all 5 PGT tested euploid embryos. We have done two full cycles of IVF. Our physician at CNY Fertility has suggested we look towards a surrogate due to having implantation issues, PCOS (Brianna) and endometriosis (Julie). In Brianna’s case, she has gone through testing and even a laparoscopic surgery to see if there is anything hindering implantation. They haven’t found anything and she has fallen into the category of “unexplained infertility.” This has been a challenging road both emotionally and physically. We have euploid embryos ready and are hoping someone will help us bring our little one into this world!

HOPES AND DREAMS FOR OUR FUTURE CHILD:
Our biggest hope and dream for our child is that they will grow up to be happy and live a fulfilling life. We want our child to have opportunities such as exploring sports, clubs, activities and going to college. We want them to know they are supported and loved. It is very important to us that whatever dream our child has, we will help guide them and support them through. We also dream that our child grows up with a good set of morals and values that are instilled in them.

FAMILY TRADITIONS AND VALUES:
There are many special traditions both Brianna and I share that we plan to pass down to our child. When we think about some of the traditions that mean the most to us and bring us the most joy, they span from carving pumpkins on Halloween, to decorating Christmas cookies around the holidays. Some traditions that are not necessarily big holidays but are just as meaningful are as simple as having family dinners each night, a walk to the local zoo which is a few blocks away and cooking family recipes together such as Eileen’s (Julie’s mother) famous potato pancakes! Whether big or small, we are so excited to celebrate and pass down a variety of traditions to our child.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A MATCH:
During the journey, we would love some updates after appointments via text, and we would like to be able to come to an appointment here and there IF our surrogate is not too far away. Not all appointments, as that would not be possible, but having the option to maybe attend some would be nice. Most likely our work schedules wouldn’t allow us to attend all appointments but even a video of the heartbeat happening on the screen or of the other ultrasounds would be so great. After the baby is born, we would like to stay friendly and in touch if they would like to via text or social media. We wouldn’t want to lose the ability to work with a surrogate though if they just wanted privacy for appointments.

EXTRA INFORMATION
Names: Juliana & Brianna
Location: Buffalo, NY
Number of Embryos: 4 PGS Tested
Agency/Management Team: The Biggest Ask
Fertility Clinic: CNY
Surrogate Compensation: Medium/High
Requirements: ASRM guidelines
