A LITTLE ABOUT US
We met through a dating site and had our first date at Panera. When we met in the morning for breakfast and were there until closing, we knew we had found our soulmate! We started our journey trying to become parents as soon as we got married but quickly realized we were going to need help when the months started passing by without any success. After about 6 months we went to the OBGYN for assistance, and after about a year we began our journey at our first fertility clinic. We’ve been through 2 rounds of IVF, numerous failed transfers and miscarriages, and five fertility clinics over the past 8 years. We are very grateful to have finally had our son last year thanks to a wonderful Gestational Carrier, and we now hope to be able to give him a sibling!
HOW WE SPEND OUR TIME
We both love nature and moved to a rural area so we could have a lot of land. We also both love animals and have three dogs, with dreams to have a farm someday (with lots of horses for K!) Right now we spend most of our time with our son, enjoying all the precious moments watching him grow and learn new things. However, when he is napping and we have some free time, hobbies for A include video games and creative projects like making different items using a 3D printer. Hobbies for K include reading and gardening (and hopefully someday getting back into horseback riding).
HOW WE GOT TO SURROGACY
We spent years going to different fertility clinics and trying different tests and treatments to help us conceive but in the end we were ultimately unsuccessful and had no clear explanation as to why or what else we could do to improve our chances. After our second round of IVF and having been through numerous failed transfers and two miscarriages, we decided to pursue surrogacy to give our remaining embryos the best chance.
WHAT WE ARE MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO
We are looking forward to giving our future child a loving, nurturing home where they will be able to flourish and achieve their dreams! We have lots of land for our child to play and explore and a fantastic school system where they will get a great education. We will also provide a loving and supportive environment where they can try any hobbies or activities they would like and we look forwarding to helping them work toward achieving their dreams when they grow up!
OUR FAMILY AND ENVIRONMENT
We are a warm, caring, and loving family. We enjoy fun days at home relaxing in the yard or playing board games inside, but also enjoy getting out and exploring different places and trying different activities. We are easy going people that like to go-with-the-flow, and we aim to create a supporting and caring environment where our children will feel loved, supported, and nurtured as they grow up and learn to navigate the world.
WHAT ARE WE HOPING FOR IN A MATCH
We’d like to maintain fairly frequent contact during the pregnancy (ideally once a week). We would love to maintain a relationship after the pregnancy if that is what our gestational carrier would like us as well, but we would respect her preferences.
