One day, a rapid response was called in the hospital, and we both showed up. I hadn’t seen him in over a year, and we both had masks on. Afterwards, I found myself <strong><b>wondering</b></strong> who he was. He was the one who reached out to me first on Instagram. It was <strong><b>very sweet</b></strong>. It felt <strong><b>serendipitous</b></strong> how a critical event led to a <strong><b>lighthearted love story</b></strong>, as we have so much fun together. Sharing similar life <strong><b>goals</b></strong> and outlooks, our bond grew quickly and became <strong><b>unbreakable</b></strong>. We thrive on growth and self-improvement, both individually and together, striving to be our <strong><b>best selves</b></strong>.</p> </div> </div>

This process has included 7 egg retrievals, 3 failed transfers, 3 abdominal surgeries, and working with a reproductive immunologist out of state, all mostly due to stage 4 endometriosis and DOR, amongst other immune issues that were found. <strong><b>This is the short version</b></strong>!</p><p><strong><b>Surrogacy </b></strong>has always been a thought in the back of my mind, <strong><b>knowing my body</b></strong> the way I do, this thought has become more of a <strong><b>reality</b></strong> despite giving my all, beyond what I ever thought I could do. The concept of surrogacy comes with familiarity to me as my uncle’s conceived through use of a surrogate. My interactions with my uncle’s surrogate were wonderful and one I will always remember.</p><p>I was also donor conceived, so I know when “<strong><b>there’s a will there’s a way</b></strong>” and that giving up is not an option.</p><p>Ultimately, to us, it doesn’t matter how you come into this world. It’s about the people who <strong><b>surround and love you</b></strong> when you are born and raised.</p> </div> </div>

We’re <strong><b>passionate</b></strong> about being outside in all seasons. We both love <strong><b>traveling</b></strong> — it brings us peace, a sense of freedom, and a deeper understanding of different cultures. Along with a love for the outdoors, I have a creative side and a passion for art; I originally wanted to be an artist for Disney!</p><p>We both <strong><b>love children</b></strong> and have <strong><b>large families</b></strong>. Casey has 10 nieces and nephews, and I have 5. In our spare time, we love spending time with them and with family in general.</p><p>Our latest adventure was meeting my donor siblings. I have <strong><b>39</b></strong>, and we get everyone together annually — kids and all!</p> </div> </div>

<h3 class="elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default">The Biggest Ask Says40The American Society for Reproductive Medicine provides the following recommendations for evaluation of gestational carriers (i.e., many fertility clinics will require the following for their gestational carriers):
- Carried at least 1 child without complications
- Fewer than 3 deliveries via c-section
- Be within the ages of 21 and 45
- Body mass index in between 19 and 32
- No smoking, abusing drugs, alcohol or prescription medications
- Not receiving welfare, public housing or cash assistance from the government
- Has a stable home life with emotional and child care support
- No mental health conditions requiring the use of medications within the last 6 months (including depression)
- No criminal record

No one likes to talk about surrogate compensation, but it is an important factor in any surrogacy agreement. The following is how we classify high, medium and low compensation (excluding the value of any benefits). Many factors affect surrogate compensation including surrogate experience (e.g., has the woman been a surrogate before?), whether the surrogate is signed up with an agency and surrogate preferences.
- Low = surrogate compensation between $45,000 and $50,000
- Medium = surrogate compensation between $55,000 and $60,000
- High = surrogate compensation greater than $65,000
